What might be in the Newsletter,
if we were putting one out at this time

"To Friends and Fans of Claddagh Ring"

Hope this finds you all well.

First off, just a reminder that we are still looking for possible members. If you love Celtic music, can make the time commitment, are able to sing lead and harmony, hopefully play an instrument or two (or twelve)...or perhaps you play an instrument (guitar!) well but don't want to sing...it also helps to be a fast learner...and like working hard for hardly any money, you might be crazy enough to join the band. E-mail us at claddagh@claddaghring.net with info about yourself, and we'll get the ball rolling.

My trip to Ireland was a blast. I definitely did not want to come back. I hope to be able to put a journal of the trip on the site sometime soon, with links to more information about the places I got to visit, and, eventually, pictures from the trip.

Some work has been done toward the eventual set of pages on places performed. Life tends to intervene, and tasks get put aside, but it hasn't been forgotten. We also hope to put in our own restaurant and hotel reviews, as well... There are some great stories to be told....

In case you haven't checked our links for a while, we have a new one...to John Whelan's web site. John is a renowned Irish accordion player who happened to stumble onto our website and asked if we'd trade links. So, when you visit his site, you'll see a link back to Claddagh Ring, too. We're so honored.

Things seem to be picking up for us again, at least for a while. We've got a couple in December, a couple in February, one so far in March...and we're working on a new one in August (just after the band's 12th birthday!). Even though we said we'd not do festivals in Kansas in the summertime again...this one seems too good to pass up. We'll let you know about it as soon as we know.

I'm putting this here because I'm not sure it is ready to be officially announced yet; hidden in this "letter", it might escape serious notice... It seems that the concert series we started off on the Saturday night of the Newman University Renaissance Faire will continue in 2003, with Cherish the Ladies! Well, at least we can say we played it first.

For those who always ask...we still don't know when our next recording will be out, though we do keep hoping to get into the studio again to record with the newest member(s).

For all of you out there, thanks for hanging in with us.
